Intimate Partner Violence, Stigma, and the Media
Where is the public outrage about intimate partner violence? * Why does it often take a tragedy, such as a homicide, for the media to pay attention to intimate partner violence? Even then, why does this attention fade so quickly? * And why does society pay so much more attention to other women's health issues compared to intimate partner violence? This Collection looks at ways that advocates and survivors can work with the media to promote responsible reporting about intimate partner violence. This Collection also includes reviews of books and films that address the topic of intimate partner violence.
