Many survivors of domestic violence feel unable to talk about their experience due to stigma. This stigma too-often leads to silence and isolation, making survival an incredibly difficult and lonely journey.
As one domestic violence survivor stated, “I can't really imagine overcoming the stigma of having been abused. I suppose it would consist of having abuse be less of a taboo subject.”
Robyn Castle and her friends are uniting to illuminate the strength of community in the healing process while bringing awareness to the issue of domestic violence and the resilience of survivors. Thank you Robyn, for using your voice and visibility to decrease the taboo!
